Delia Melendrez Gomez, MPH

HEALTH EQUITY AND JUSTICE Analyst

Delia Melendrez Gomez is an LA native completing a Master in Public Health (MPH) at UCLA and a Certified Health Education Specialist. Her previous work managing program evaluation for mental health programs at a nonprofit, further drove her passion for addressing systemic inequities and centering underserved communities. She has experience working on health and racial justice projects and was a Public Health Advocacy Intern with California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ). In this role, she supported the local and state policy platform and the community engagement work in the City of Bell Gardens. 

 

Delia strives to be an unrelenting advocate for social and health justice among communities that have been historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed. She is committed to work that centers and upholds the dignity of BIPOC communities to thrive as individuals, families and communities with optimal health and wellbeing. In her free time, she loves walking her dog, going for hikes, and being out in nature with friends and family.
