Courtney Oei serves as a Data Analyst with the Public Health Alliance of Southern California. She works closely with Helen Dowling and Neil Maizlish in managing and disseminating data across the Alliance’s projects, including the Healthy Places Index (HPI). Courtney is dedicated to using data to inform action in creating healthy and equitable environments for all persons. Prior to joining the Alliance, she worked on syndromic surveillance at the Illinois Department of Public Health, using opioid overdose surveillance data to advance harm reduction strategies in local health departments. Courtney holds a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health and is located in Chicago.
